The database was accessed by The Indian Express in partnership with the Organised Crime and Corruption Reporting Project(OCCRP),aninternational investigative reporting platform formed by 40 non-profit investigative centres, and journalists and regional organisations. The entries were investigated by around 50 media groups in as many countries. Of the 129,000 entries in the Dubai database from 181 countries,thoseofIndiansformasizeable chunk with 5,800 linked to propertiesintopsitessuchasthe PalmJumeirah,TheWorld,Motor City, Emirates Living, Dubai Marina, Old Town Island, etc. According to Indian laws, it is not illegal for Indians to own property in Dubai.
