font-family: verdana;"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:85%;"&gt;Ignoring an important safety rule not to use lifts in case of fire claimed the lives of six firemen who were part of a team that had gone to extinguish a fire in Vartak Nagar early on Sunday here.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The firemen belonging to Thane Municipal Corporation were trapped after the lift that they had taken to reach the 14th floor of a housing complex stopped due to a power failure.
