Appointed under programmes funded by the Tata EducationTrust (TET),they were dismissed without notice on Friday citing non-release of funds by the trust, as reported first by The Sunday Express. The move to take them back came after the trust assured resourceswillbemadeavailableto the TISS. A statement issued by the institute on Sunday and signed by its Registrar said, “TET has committed to releasing fundsforthesalariesof TETproject/ programme faculty and non-teaching staff.” TISS administrationconfirmedRs4.79crore hasbeensanctionedbythetrust.
